How to Install and Play Five Thousand
Just unzip the contents of the file you downloaded into the directory (folder) of your choice, and then run the executable (application) file by double-clicking on it. Unfortunately, the Five Thousand dice game will only run on Windows. It has been tested on Windows 98, 2000 and XP. All of the files you need to learn how to play Five Thousand are included in the main directory.
For example, after downloading you might now have the file FiveThousand_Beta1_2005-Apr-27.zip on your hard disk. Assuming that you have Windows XP or a decompression program (like WinZip or WinRAR) installed, double-clicking on this file or right-clicking on it should allow you to decompress it. Let's say that you decompressed it into the C:\FiveThousand directory. Now all you need to do to play Five Thousand is go to that directory, and run the file Five Thousand.exe by double-clicking on it.
